A Date with Rota
This past week we had an mysterious visitor come to our home. The strange visitor had a name - Rota, last name Virus. It all started when my son, EJ, suddenly vomited all over my wife while I was at work. It was so bad, that i had to leave work early and let my wife take a shower. Rota, decided to stay a couple of days, 8 to be exact, and see what else it could help with. For the next eight days EJ had diarrhea for eight straight days, but he seemed for the most part fine. The important thing is to keep his fluids up. So we pedialyte and probiotic were regularly with food and bottles. Sometimes he had to go to the restroom between 1 - 5 AM. Pam and I would have to wake up, change all of his clothes and bedsheets and send him back to bed. Finally! the uninvited guest was gone, but soon there would be another. This one goes to by the nickname “DST” and it sneaks into your home around 2 AM near the beginning of Spring or Fall.

A perfect day for an outing with the family. EJ was having a little trouble napping today and he was really grumpy. We thought taking [...]
The “Slow” season at work
The winter months are typically slow for many ad agencies. But this year, we have been extremely busy. So busy in fact that we have need of another designer. Clients keep pouring in without even trying. And I can’t get the work done fast enough. To tell you the truth, its been really hard, but [...]
Apology for Slavery follow up
Since writing about the Apology for Slavery in Virginia we have learned that Hargrove’s grandfather owned slaves. I have also been noticing the way people are reacting to this issue here in Richmond. Its made me think - maybe we haven’t come as far as we thought on racial reconciliation. Maybe we do need to [...]
