Living Above

LivingAbove meets regularly on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM at the home of Eric and Pam Murphy. 3005 Maplewood Road. Richmond, VA 23228

Living Above is formed out of the emergence of an increased understanding of the kingdom and a shifting of paradigms that is having a dramatic impact on the church at large. This “renovation” of mentality and emphasis is causing the church rediscover its true identity and purpose.

As a result of this spiritual revolution, Living Above is more interested in “being” church than “doing” church. In order to function from more accurate kingdom mentalities, Living Above is committed to operating in new, different, and creative ways, outside of what is typically called church. The goal is to give expression to the church that represents both the complete fullfillment of the new covenant by Christ and the ongoing work of the church - the fullness of Him filling everything in every way (Eph 1:23)

As an affiliate of the Banner of the Nations network, we are a group of believers seeking to embody and express the fullness of God’s kingdom among our city, and our region in an increasing manner. Our primary thrust is the planting of incarnational churches, ministries and businesses where believers live together in community and provide atmosphere for growth and transformation within a specific area. Together, this network of simple churches is effectively saturating local and regional areas with the Gospel of the Kingdom.
