XL on the Rise!
A whole lot has been happening with XL (aka Vince, aka twin aka my brother) lately. It was very disappointing when his trip to Prague scheduled for April 20-22 was canceled. However, since then, a roller coaster of things started happening. First, he was selected to tour with a group up and down the east coast. The bad news is he can’t go because he just landed a new job and Randolph Macon College. But, he can still play at individual engagements on the tour. This pass week XL was contacted by two different management groups looking to get him into some places and do some shows. In Vince’s words, “this was huge”. Vince has not given any of them an answer. Why? Because of the tour that he is playing individual shows on, XL has been invited to audition and meet industry leaders at the “pre-conference” for the GMA Dove Awards. This is HUGE! He could literally walk away with talks of a record deal. Ironically, the GMA conference is held at the same time Vince was suppose to go to Prague. Crazy!
I have a good feeling about this. The timing is right, and XL’s music is only getting better and better. He dynamic sound is suitable for Christian audiences and yet still remains appealing to non-religious circles. Such music is revolutionary in the hip-hop world. Check out his website at xlfactor.com or go to his myspace page to get a taste. And keep XL in your prayers.
Hey Eric,
I know you’re really busy, but I want you to write an article (doesn’t have to be long or complex) for TBC. I’m trying to recruit more people for this task, and I’ll write something in a few days myself. It ideally is a place for networking ideas from those who have a relationship with TBC, and this is where I want to see the website go. Let me know…
