“Wake Up and Smell Your Life”

I’m sure we’ve all seen the McDonald’s commercials where a person is eating a breakfast sandwhich and drinking coffee and suddenly realizes they have been “sleep walking” through their life; Like the guy who was eating a McD’s breakfast and in a moments notice realizes that he is a married man. This commercial, though humurous, raises some interesting thoughts. How many of us are just going through life “sleeping awake”? How many areas of our lives are still laying dormant while we go about our busy routines? Maybe more importantly, how much more can each of us awaken to God’s presence that is at work in our lives and in the whole world? I know what you might be thinking… all of this from a McD’s commercial….?
